Fresh Fall
I liked the pattern created by fresh snow that bent just enough of the reeds to form horizontal lines across the image, yet the direction is predominantly vertical. I see a flow of white across the frame which I read from left to right (western culture I suppose).
There is no centre of interest in this type of image, its appeal comes from exploring the details and, although the reeds are dense, there is some depth to the scene. I think the piles of snow provide a contrasting element and I wonder if I should have included more of those shapes?
