Had been very worried about the bees and have been alarmed at the deaths that continued for ages but every time I checked inside the hive there was a lot of activity.

I almost feel that I had fed them all up to well with liquid sugar which somehow made the normal winter reduction of numbers and added to that the girls were having a problem getting the sugar solution turned into a hard enough honey. There is still some liquid honey dripping onto the floor as can be seen in the dark areas of the floorboard.
