Otto Jaffé

Otto (Joseph) Jaffé was lord mayor of Belfast in the early years of the 20th century.  He built this fountain (now not functional) as a memorial to his father.  It has been moved from its original location as has the, now modern,  Kitchen Bar just down the street.   All to make way for the big development on the left of the picture. I guess cities keep on changing, at least we preserved Otto's fountain even if water doesn't flow from it any more..
