Tallest Eastern Hardwood

Liriodendron tulipifera or the Tulip Tree is a member of the Magnolia Family. I liked the gnarled limbs and bare branches against the sky. 

January is halfway past and  I am waiting for spring! I did find a lovely Hellebore in bloom and it made this cold, damp day a little brighter.

I am recovering from a cold that has sapped my energy for nearly a week. Looking forward to feeling more sprightly soon.
