horns of wilmington's cow

Cross Levitation

Two weeks on from racing at Broxburn, where I set myself a new one hour heart rate threshold, but didn't have to clean the bike after one of the least muddy races I think I've ever done.... Winton Estate today saw the heart rate threshold bumped up by an extra 2 bpm, and a ridiculous amount of mud.

A slog it was for much of it, but enough properly fun bits, and precisely nowhere to take a breather. At least being on a Saturday, rather than the usual Sunday, I've got time to recover, and can put off cleaning the bike till tomorrow, knowing it'll be done in daylight.

Beautiful light for photos today (which isn't always the case in cross!) and this bit of mountain bike almost-pump-track that was woven into the course put a smile on my face every lap.

Too many photos to cull, so quite an extras selection.
