Walking the Walls
Brilliant sunshine and blue sky this morning, what could we do but head for the coast?
We walked round the ancient walls of Berwick. The views were wonderful, Lindisfarne and Bamburgh, the Tweed valley and the townscape itself - a jumble of buildings, domestic and industrial, clustered round the river and the bridges. So many alleys and courtyards to explore.
I took lots of pictures (another in the extras). The sun was so bright that the two guys walking on the walls are wildly overexposed. But I kind of like the ghostly effect - I'm sure this place must have many ghosts.
