Fresh air
We've done well for fresh air today - and feeling good for it!
I stayed in Stamford last night with the boys, so the husband could get on with DIY in the house (the pressure is on!). I had a lovely morning run - up to Burghley, round the park and back through the (then) quiet town centre). Loved it. Then, took the boys out into town on their scooters (the youngest barely used his, so that was a bit of a waste of time) and back for lunch. Always tastes better when you haven't cooked it (thank you mum!)
We had a bit of a break after lunch, I might have had a little sleep, before going to Burghley on the way home. What was going to be a quick stop just to get some afternoon air became over an hour of walking around the park, checking out the sentry box, looking at the deer, trying to find sheep, looking at horse jumps and admiring the trees. Oh - and picking up massive branches and pretending one was a plough and the other a seed drill - we must have covered about 500 metres with the boys being 'farmers'.
Youngest fell asleep on the way home, eldest crashed and burned after food and fell asleep on me after one book at bedtime.
Me - painted the downstairs loo as my Saturday evening pass time!
