Grounded!

So yesterday I was saying how well the Austrians cope with winter weather, compared with the UK. Well, evidence of that today was that my flight back to the UK was cancelled - not because planes couldn't leave Vienna airport, but because planes couldn't land at Heathrow! All flights to London were affected for the rest of the day.

So my colleague Marco and I are stuck in Vienna for the weekend! As luck would have it, I'd arranged an apartment for next week which we managed to bring forward to today, so accommodation isn't a problem.

Anyway, gotta make the best of it... this shot of a rack of Viennese-style 'Boris Bikes' near the apartment seemed to sum up the transport chaos.
