Snow

The weather forecasters had predicted snow for today but when we woke up there was none. The kids were disappointed. By the time I'd set off for work it had started snowing and by lunchtime it was quite heavy.
The girls were home from school at lunchtime. Daughter #2 and her friend wanted tomato soup for lunch ( Tesco had none !). Daughter #1 brought five of her friends home and a big plate of sandwiches was delivered to her room by her brother (whose school had also closed early due to the snow).
My friend Sally came round at 2.30. Daughter #2 wanted to go to the park with the sledges. I told her that I would take them at 3pm. When Sally left, there was no sign of the girls. They'd said they'd be playing out on the pavement. Neither had their mobile phones on them. I didn't think they'd go to the park on their own but as I couldn't find them and I couldn't think of anywhere else they'd go with their sledges, I went to the park to look for them.
Shortly after arriving at the park, daughter #1 called to say that the girls were home. By this time it was quite dark.
Daughter #1 went to her friend's for a sleepover and daughter #2 has her friend staying over.
My son, hubby and I watched the Batman film.
