Coffee and Cake

The trains were not running directly to Bishop’s Stortford this weekend; track repairs, on this line, are always carried out during the first few weekends in January. So we took the train to Stansted airport, where we caught a rail transfer bus. This worked well as did the return journey.
 
We started with coffee and I had a gluten free blueberry muffin in Café Thyme; it is today’s picture. Then we did some shopping before meeting our Mensa friends in CaffeInn; they can cater for larger parties for three hours or more, this went well as our new venue.

Although sunny and dry during the day, the temperature at GMT noon was onlyfive degrees Celsius.
