Panto scenery 1

I would have liked to have gone out with the camera to take some snow pictures but I'm still not feeling up to it.

Today was the first day for painting the panto scenery. I'm not an artist but I can visualise roughly what I want on the backdrops. We do have a great artist with an ability to listen to my description and look at my very rough concept sketch and then, without any drafting, she draws this wonderful picture on the backdrop which brings the whole thing to life in an amazing way. She has such talent. (This elephant was a circle on my drawing that said large toy!) It's then over to everyone else to paint it. I just supervise ... although I do tend to pick up a paint brush in later weeks!

We made steady progress today but there's a lot more to do over the next two/three Saturdays.
