The Palm Tree

This photo created a strange effect. The trace here is cut into the wall but appears to protrude from it like a marble relief sculpture.

The guys cracked on in freezing cold with more traces, holes bored though two foot stone walls and cutting out of clay around two walls before pointing them up.

I chopped up a load of kindling - legnina- and took all the nails and screws out of the last bit of pine cladding the Boss and I took down yesterday. All tucked away in the old stables.

Out of the sun it was raw and pretty bleak. The extra is a view looking back into the Casentino as night fell over the sear woods and brilliant snow on the summit ridge of the Pratomagno.
