College Tower
The snow stopped overnight and for a while the wind dropped so we walked over the fields to St Cross, along the water meadows and into town. We were passed by people out running; all seemed to lose their footing or slip at some point; one guy in shorts and light trainers went by, cut back in and promptly lost his footing falling in the snow. He was up and off pretty quick fortunately, I could almost feel his embarrassment.
This is the tower for Winchester College Chapel through the snow covered trees. B&W sort of summed up the day. The tower was rebuilt by William Butterfield in 1862-3 replacing the original tower built in the late 14th century.
The wind has picked up and the temperature dropped, time to light the fire I think.
On Monday I went with Jane to my first yoga class, it wasn't her regular class leader but Jane said if I was interested she felt that the stand in, Jo, was a good instructor. I enjoyed it and Jo has a class on Thursday's so I went to that. So January 2012 I took up Blip 2013 it looks like yoga; only one problem - boy do I ache.
