Female Blackcap

According to the RSPB:
A distinctive greyish warbler, the male has a black cap, and the female a chestnut one. Its delightful fluting song has earned it the name 'northern nightingale'. Although primarily a summer visitor birds from Germany and north-east Europe are increasingly spending the winter in the UK.

We are lucky enough to have a pair that are regular feeders. I have been trying to get a photo of one for ages but they really like the fat block; this swings about so up to now the shots have been blurry. Today she sat on the tray eating and I managed to grab this shot.

It has been snowing again today, not much though. We even had a glimpse of sun. Need to get out and get a bit of fresh air before hunkering down in front of the fire and trying to catch up on Borgen.
