Gamechanging

This weekend sees another of our boardgames weekend but this pile is only tangentially related to it.  This pile is the start of boardgame donations by our gamers to the Gamechangers charity project in Uganda; a component of the 'Butterfly Project' to develop social entrepreneurs from disadvantaged youth.  

"All members are recruited from the most disadvantaged backgrounds, because we believe that those who have survived hardship are the best people to tackle its causes.  Members are recruited both from slum districts and remote rural villages.  We have had equal success with both very distinct groups."

Boardgaming is proving to be a valuable, if unexpected, component of these projects and it's good to see some of our past-loved games going on to a new life.
