Wintery panorama

I was hoping the sun would come out today to make the snow really shine out but the light remained stubbornly flat.

There was a really chilly wind too so I stuck my deerstalker hat on (to howls of laughter from my children) and set off with the dogs.

The mud was frozen under the snow - yay! So the dogs didn't get too dirty for a change! We walked along the river and Tia didn't go in despite walking very close to the edge on several occasions and disturbing a group of 3 ducks who luckily took flight rather than just dive across into the water. Millie has never been a water dog after falling into a frozen pond as a pup so maybe Tia senses that..

My fingers are crossed..!
