Witch hazel

After an early lunch T and I went round the block - slowly! Hopefully I won't get any bad after effects. I wanted to check up on the local witch hazel bush in Cluny Avenue as it was just coming out when I last saw it on 30th December, before I dislocated my hip the following day. It's now in full bloom, as expected. I saw quite a lot of snowdrops out and realised I'd missed out on seeing them earlier this month. For me this time of year is very much about seeing the first signs of spring, but there's been a gap of a few weeks. Hope I will be able to keep track of things from now on, with no further mishaps!
