The snow king

While shooting another job for the paper, I saw this boy making a snowman in Pickering, or maybe a snow king?
I immediately thought of the wonderful photos in The North, by photojournalist John Bulmer, a book I was given as a Christmas present. He documented northern England in the 1960's, for the Sunday Times Magazine, and this moment seemed like both an update, and a throwback, to one of his photos. A timeless scene.
