Carillon Bell Tower Canberra

After a rather easy going Sunday morning with taking the dogs for a walk.... then a nice breakie of bacon, eggs & mushrooms!!! yum yum

We then headed out to the Glassworks , a working studio with gallery...... some very nice stuff.

A nice walk around Lake Burley Griffin this afternoon, then as part of the Canberra Festival the Carillon was open to the public today.... 216 steps up to the viewing area. Here is what I managed to quickly find on tinternet regarding the tower

"The elegant, 53-bell tower, a gift from the British government to mark Canberra's 50th anniversary in 1963, rises up from Aspen Island in Lake Burley Griffin."

The rain of yesterday is well and truly gone , business as usual today .....sun sun sun
