Kookaburra Kinda over Canberra

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments for yesterdays blip.....it was unexpected !!!

So we got up as planned at 6am this morning , headed out in the pitch dark to drive over to the grounds of Old Parliament House to watch the balloons. Unfortunately because of the lack of light we failed to notice just how foggy it was ..... the balloons were going no where untethered...... shame, there is always tomorrow ( the last day of the balloon fest) but there nay chance of getting Andrea out of her scratcher at 6am again so soon...... so the rather dull picture of the Kookaburra balloon is as good as its gonna get....

After balloons we cycled to the Saturday morning farmers market and amongst other things picked up so lovely fresh raw green prawns(which just went in to a lovely green Thai curry)

We have the place to ourselves tonight , Jen & Rich have headed down the coast for the night ( well just us and the dogs). So we headed out and bought a few cheapy movies to watch this evening, some recent Steven Seagal films for a laugh (3 for $15) Yakuza ( classic 70's film with Robert Mitchum, This is England & The Protector Thai action film with Tony Jaa ( check him out , amazing stuff)

We also picked up so really nice beers from my new fav bottle shop , called Plonk .... check out the list of beers
they sell .... where does one start !!!

So its now time for either some Seagal or Jaa ........ Fun Stuff !!!!
