Moke Lake

On top of the car seemed to foil the mice but ended up sharing a tent with a mosquito, woke up in the middle of the night with my legs on fire and that all too familiar humming in my ear. Torch on and bingo, at least she died with a full tummy. 
Really is too hot for camping just now, uncomfortable night and very little sleep which made for an early but groggy start to the day hiking back up the mountain. Beautiful walk past some lakes after that, but couldn’t really get passed the heat to enjoy it. However, arrived at my campsite earlier than expected next to this lovely lake. As you can tell from the colour it wasn’t a glacial lake so I enjoyed my first, second and third swim of New Zealand, so refreshing.
