Gang aft agley

Today links Burns day yesterday and last Sunday's blanket blip it was unintended but yesterday turned out to be an unexpected day.

The best-laid plans o' mice an' men gang aft agley.

In my head there were to be 5 blankets

My grandson
My friend of 50 years granddaughter 
then my daughter's three bridesmaids: -

Camilla - the twins in last weeks extra 
Bec for Mairi (1 year old in March - the partly sewn up blanket)
Becky for when she made her announcement (the pile of squares)

then yesterday a call from my daughter - apparently Becky came home from work on Friday and her husband had been doing some DIY on his own and fell off the ladder and died.

so there it is a pile of squares as a reminder that life sucks some days.
