Technology...
and today's issues have all been to do with technology in particular those requiring WiFi
The printer (last used on Thursday 23rd) was offline according to all my devices....it took 2 hours of uninstalling/deleting/installing and swearing to get it working (I think I also threatened to put it in the bin and get a new one).
Then there's my Sky Q box which for the last two weeks or so has taken to randomly disconnecting and reconnecting to the WiFi - it doesn't affect watching and recording but does prevent downloads and Netflix and connecting to secondary devices.
I know these are first world problems (I have a roof over my head, reasonable health and more than enough food) but having exhausted all the switch off- reboot- swear -repeat options I phoned for help.
To meet the "can I help you" checklist the nice lady had me switch off - reboot - repeat before admitting defeat and organising an engineer visit (31/01)
Then today a online engineer phoned to see if he could do something remotely. 31 minutes later having given me secret codes to get to menus that are invisible normally - he admitted defeat, the problem is real - apparently these devices including the router send a lot of performance data to them and my log is wonky.
BUT as of tonight it is stable...the mini box still won't connect and I'm to tired to try anything else so I guess this is a cliff-hanger to be resolved in a later episode
