Thank goodness for long lasting flowers as an emergency blip. Taken this morning in decent light. The promised rain didn't arrive quite as early as I expected, but rather whilst I was in the gym.

To be honest, I've slobbed on my chair for the rest of the day, mainly reading a novel. Sometimes, that's the only answer. I have various relatively urgent things on the 'to do' list, but this is the first quiet weekend we've had in ages, and I think I just needed to do some sitting, reading and pondering. Frankly, the closer we get to the end of the month, the more maudlin' I get.
