Signs upon signs

I've always meant to take a photo of this archway in Stockbridge and finally got around to it as I passed by.

There are plenty of examples old painted business signs around Edinburgh, but this one has the slightly random 'Polar Ices' and 'Garage' combination.

A google search revealed that Polar Ices was an ice-cream business owned by the D'Angelo family.
