Twin Mountains, New Hampshire
Today we drove from Connecticut for 3 hours to Bow in New Hampshire. The brakes in Susan's truck squealed all the way and we decided not to take it any further.
This meant that when we picked up the RV , we had no car.
We stacked the RV up and Pat took the wheel admirably. It was such a brute of a vehicle I have no idea how he managed. Susan and I sat in the back and were very comfy.
We arrived at Twin Mountains 3 hours later and how Pat pitched that truck up to the power and water points, I will never know!
It was a Kampground of America site - but was rather off the beaten track. You could not walk anywhere other than on the site. although Susan and I did a road walk for 3 miles but came cross and saw nothing!!
We had a fab BBQ and made the most of the site this evening. The fire pit was cool and the campsite owner, who for some reason got christened Elmer, brought firewood by quad bike. We had a very pleasant evening and had many laughs. Our powers of resourcefulness and patience were tested - we all passed!!
