Belgium Day 3: Spooky

The sun stayed resolutely away and it was just above freezing so we bundled ourselves up for a day of touristing.

We started with truly terrible toasted sandwiches with tasty free soup, went to the markt square and admired the architecture and a Dali exhibit, saw lots of churches, bought foodie things and the set out in search for our first Belgian waffles. In the end we settled on a place slightly away from the touristy areas whose menu was only in Flemish, which turned out to be an excellent choice. I then collapsed into a hung over heap before setting out for excellent pizza.

New food : apple and cinnamon waffle.
New language: slagroom (whipped cream!)
