King Crab

The Russians started it.

They introduced these enormous king crabs into their waters around Murmansk. Lots of food. Tasty. No natural predators.

But the crabs don't recognise borders, especially in the sea. The king crab is plentiful in the Arctic waters and we need feel no guilt in feasting on them as they are tending to feed on the indigenous sea creatures.

They ran a trip to fish for these. They had a special deal in the a la carte restaurant.

But we ran out of days.
It's been a really tiring and busy trip.

And the restaurant has served the best food I've ever eaten on a cruise ship (including Seabourn.)

We were woken at 1.00 am last night. Scrambling into our warm gear, we headed to the top open deck where we saw the best Aurora of the trip.

Pure magic.

Edit.  My favourite herring and the amazing salmon...
