Visiting the donkeys at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary (https://www.iowdonkeysanctuary.org)

Run entirely as a charity they have roughly 100 donkeys and shire horses in their care.

The range of ages, medical and dietary requirements means they need as much money as they can make from donations and adoption of the donkeys.

Suffice to say we came away having adopted two of the donkeys, Rambo and Chucky. Picked these two as we asked who tends to be least popular in the adoption stakes. At £2.50 a month for each donkey it had to be done.
