Dinner out before the cinema to see Les Mis in Newark! A birthday treat for R who will be ........ on Thursday!!

The Chef's menu offered Kangaroo, so that's what I had!! Beautiful, tasty and tender!! Highly recommended!!

The film was all the things the critics said. Oscar wining (I hope) performances and the ability to keep the audience on their seat for 3 hrs, with the exception of one gent who had to excuse himself for a few minutes!

I've seen the stage show twice and the only thing lacking in the film was the opportunity for audience participation in the singing at the barricade scene!!

Hankies were in pockets or tucked up sleeves, just in case!!
