Sitting on the fence

Actually there have been two Mistle Thrushes around the feeders today and at least six Goldfinch and a Robin.

I counted 10 small birds in the Forsythia at one point. They had retreated there as Bluebell had appeared to stalk the garden. The thrush sat on the fence and then flew over to the clothes drier watching her with disdain. She's asleep in the chair now so they can feed in peace.

Less than a week to go now! Glad to see that PaulaJ and Gordon arrived in Auckland today after their tricky journey on Friday. My son in law to be was stranded in Geneva last night. We are still waiting to see when he is due to arrive back in Bristol. He went to enjoy the snow but didn't expect it to stop him getting home.

Hopefully the weather will be back to normal by next weekend, though we are expecting more snow overnight. Hopefully god for a snowy walk in the morning.
