Toby deep!
Woke up for our morning walk to a heavy overnight snow. View from the house.
Set off into the village to pick up Toby and his owners and meet Corninthian Column.
One Street view and ignoring the crazy commuters ( sorry if you had to) we made for the woods and moors above the village.
Walking in a Winter wonderland.
The only foot prints in the snow were those made by deer but we didn't spot any.
Poor Toby the snow was nearly as deep as he is - deeper than his little legs - but to be fair he does like to throw himself into it.
Toby Tails (Those balls underneath him are attached!)
We crossed the moor and the then descended to the hamlet of Ryecroft. Back to the village through the fields which have been out of bounds to us for months due to the wet and boggy land.
By this time Toby was looking more like a snow ball than a Westie and despite our efforts to de - snow him en route this is how he looked at the bottom of the fields.
Toby snowball
Back to civilisation and poor Toby is exhausted as you can see, but I'm sure that he, like us had a had a fabulous walk and a new phrase coined - the snow is Toby deep!
I'm sure he is now dry, warm and fast asleep.
