Sledging
First of all I should says that no children were injured during the taking of this photo - honest. Despite the fact that Darwin is lying slap, bang in the middle of the downhill sledging track in the woods, none of the accompanying children were tempted to sledge over the top of him. At this point in the afternoon we'd been sledging long enough that the children were cold and wet enough to call it a day.
The woods here are great for sledging, adventurous sledging that is, the path is wide, but has a couple of wicked bumps (saw one dad go airborne over it, nice, until you hit the ground on landing - he was limping as he went back up hill) and then of course there are the trees to either side (although in order to hit a tree you would have to first navigate a ditch) and don't forget the near vertical drop at the end of the path (yes, there's a fence, but I'm sure a sledge could slide under it...)
