Amaryllis

The morning I broke my leg I had just planted this Amaryllis and I hadn't been back in the kitchen until a couple of days ago, so was surprised to see it on the window sill in bud (in fact I had forgotten I'd planted it) When I went in today it was fully opened and another bud growing up beside the opened flower. With a struggle I managed to move the plant to a surface where I could sit beside it and do a few close ups.
