Sunshine!

We went for a walk down Xwaaqw'um and the wind was howling there. I was a bit scary walking through the forest but it was nice to see the sun shining on these tree trunks. Not nearly as much wind at our place. Whew! A break in the weather was so welcome after yesterday! We've never had such wild wind gusts at our place since we moved here and the rain was incredible. Fortunately no damage, a couple of trees snapped in the forest, lots of branches blown down. The power went out about 6:45 pm and came back on just before 11 pm. We were lucky. I'm so thankful for the people who go out in this weather to restore power.
We stopped at the park because we heard that someone had damaged a petroglyph on a boulder. It must be another petroglyph that we aren't aware of, or maybe someone had dealt with the damage. We were surprised to see a box of what definitely wasn't mangoes! See the extra. Not sure if they were free for the taking, but we didn't help ourselves to any.  :-))
