Yesterday thousands of Starlings.

Today thousands of something else very familiar.

Wikipaedia tells me that over 1100 new ones are made every SECOND day and night. In recent years the annual production has been in the order of 35 Billion. So five new ones for every man, woman and child on earth.

Of course it will be hundreds of years before the pieces decay. Although I believe the company is doing research to see if the bricks can be made from plant materials.
In any case our great, great grandchildren will inherit such huge quantities of bricks that they won’t want to buy more. Or they will build virtual models on their phones?

And had you noticed that the date today is 02 02 2020. An unusual Calendar palindrome.
