Snow- leopards and monkeys
Backblip,We woke to large snowflakes falling from the sky and a layer building up on the ground around us.We had a Full Scottish Breakfast to fill us up and keep us warm before departing. We had taken up the offer of an extra night for free :)
We were going to head straight home but the sun had started to peep through and we wanted to drive down the road to Kingussie on a bit of road we had not travelled down.Passing the Highland Wildlife Park we could not just drive by when the weather was perfect. The drive through was closed when we arrived so had a discount.
We watched the Wolverines playing and tumbling in the snow and then went to see the Snow Monkeys being fed. Great fun to watch them, climbing and leaping over each other, a few very cute babies too.
The polar bears , Victoria and Hamish were no where to be seen but we were so lucky to see the baby Snow Leopards out on the cliff face. Fantastic to see them playing together with Mum keeping a watchful eye.
It started snowing quite heavily as we walked by the Arctic foxes who had woken up looking magnificent in their Winter coats. We listened to the Tiger talk before heading for home.
Luckily the drive through had opened mid afternoon so we had a few drives round.Plenty of animals to see.
Safely home with no snow laying past Daviot.
Lots of extras today :)
