New bridge over the moat

When Oxburgh reopens in two weeks time visitors will have to access the house over a new footbridge over the moat as the stone bridge will be used by the builders working on the roof project. The scaffolding in the courtyard has been extended and they have started now on that in the moat, which has to be erected on sandbags submerged in the water which will protect the moat floor from damage by the scaffolding poles. (see extras) The project will take two years and cost £6 million.
