burnt offerings

today started at 4:45 this morning ... doing some brekkie, toast, when the call of nature yelled in my ear...when i came downstairs i was met with a black shriveled smoking, smouldering bit of bread... guess that side of the toaster dont work properly then ... smoke now filled the kitchen.. so instinctively i grabbed the camera and took a blip of the halogen light with smoke highlighted in the beam of light , looked quite effective.. thinking im gonner be trapped in the prison fence today figured this will be a good blip as any..
the macdonalds chain gang done good today,, had the best day ive had doing shunting , ,a complete clean slate.. dont think thats happened before , wont bore ya with the details unless ya press me on that .. ok.. a brief outline, truck comes in take the mickey out of the driver or vice versa, have the crac.,, take off the waste cardboard,, used cooking oil,, fuel up trailer and unit then onto bay to take off the empties... then ready for reload.. do that 28 times today .. at the end of the day the whole fleet that were in the yard was fully serviced,, that dont happen often ... the poor fella that was "stripping" (taking the empties off) was looking a bit ....tired... by 4 pm .. some 10 hours after i started throwing trailers on the bay,, its a small victory on our part , some satisfaction in what is a pretty gutting repetitive job .. when i go back to not covering the shunting and back on the road you`ll know its me cos im the one that`ll be reversing up the road.. shunters only know how to drive backwards.
my three rest days now start ... a good nites sleep see what mischief i can get up to in the next three days.. for now.. i hear the sofa calling me softly ,, gently ..come to me..so think i will.
by the wy ,,no bits of bread were harmed in the making of this blip... ok i lied.. looked like charcoal.. i gave it a decent burial..
