Storms River camp
I haven’t had strong WiFi so I’m having to back blip.
It was a 560km drive to Tsitsikamma NP. Away from coast. Farms that had surplus cattle feed get it poly wrapped and leave it near a road and it is picked up and taken to the Karoo where there was drought, to donate to farmers.
We got a Puncture near an aloe factory so used time to go to alcohol shop with electrically operates grill on door.
Garden Route mossul bay to Jeffreys bay say tourist office but drivers say it is Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. It is so-called because it’s the last green part but it was quite dry.
Taurai had to take the tyre to be fixed so lengthened the journey time.
Wilderness town had a long beach with many layers of waves then we saw
Knysna townships on hill. Generally the route was through countryside though we saw occasional small towns. The Heads - narrow and no ships can get in to lagoon
Reached Storms River camp 10 hours after leaving Hermanus.
Our hut is in bushes and trees looking out at other huts but at least sheltered from winds and the thundering waves of the Indian Ocean which can still be heard. We had to keep the door shut for baboons and snakes.
This is the view from our evening walk. It was great to stretch our legs and enjoy the splendour of the crashing waves
