Historic Homestead, Richmond, Nelson

I drove home to Christchurch today, having had a unique and very special time near Nelson, with my friend and her family. I'd realised that it would be a unique opportunity, saying goodbye for the last time. And yes, it was unique, and sad, but very precious at the same time. One of those memorable occasions that we never forget. 
Many "I love you's", and "thank you for being such a wonderful friend". 
N. will fly back to her home in the States in a couple of weeks, where her daughters will care for her.

This old homestead near Richmond caught my eye driving home. Apparently the owner has been given a grant to restore it.
