Chilly heron

Today I braved the cold and wrapped up and went outside. The snow was falling all day, quite small flakes but lots of them. It was hard to use my camera without it getting wet. I got it out briefly at this little pond at the end of the park that I really like. It had quite a lot of wildlife on it today. I got a fleeting view of my friend/photographic adversary the kingfisher, plus some ducks, moorhens and this heron. It really didn't look too happy, hunched up like some awkward lanky teenager sulking at the weather. I don't blame it.

Back at work in the morning. I wonder how many of my colleagues will make it in with the snow.
