Choir in Malealea

It was a 600km drive to our lodge in Lesotho. But the scenery was stunning. It is a high mountainous country and to reach Malealea our base for 2 nights, the roads were ungraded and basically just a dirt track through what they called the Gates of Paradise with the stunning mountain views leading down to Malealea

The place we are staying had over the years set up lots of projects to help local people and give work. We stayed in comfortable rondavals in pretty grounds.

Local people came to sing beautifully and after that there was a band playing home made instruments. We all contributed to their collective pot then went to eat dinner in a large dining hall.

What a stunning friendly country Lesotho is.
