Shovelers
The gloomy weather returned today and it was very difficult to capture any action on the marsh at Topsham.
This pair of Shovelers came close enough to the hide and at a leisurely pace, so I was able to get something for Blip.
It is a tough choice whether to up the ISO and get tons of noise in the image or risk slower shutter speeds. I tried both with very disappointing results
Afterwards I soon lost interest in sitting in a draughty hide so I carried on walking down the estuary, round the town and back again, in order to keep up my daily tally.
I was surprised by several people mentioning the camera and long lens around my neck as I passed them. One guy even offered to pose for me!!!
I don't think he would have been impressed by what was on the memory card today. I certainly haven't been.
