Water Park

I was hoping to post a picture of Megalong Creek today as I knew it would be impassable. 
Our neighbour sent us some pictures. It is over the 2 metre mark at the causeway. We have never seen it that high.
However he also said there are lots of trees down and thought there might be a landslip on the road in the glen so we decided it would be safer to keep away. Hopefully we can get down tomorrow.
Meanwhile the neighbour is stranded on the other side with 8 guests he had for the weekend and running out of food and fuel for the generator. This is the same one lucky not to lose his house in the recent fires.
We had 75ml of rain before we left for Sydney on Friday but when we got home the rain gauge was full at 120ml so don't know the exact amount. Reports are about 300ml over the last few days. Well, we asked for it!

This is the park snapped from the car on the way into Blackheath. Further up the road was the familiar sight of fire trucks but this time they seemed to be attempting to divert water off the road to prevent flooding.
