Stormy Sunday

Well, with Storm Ciara blowing fit to bust all day today, I've been holed up indoors watching the rain lashing against the windows and all the trees & fences swaying somewhat alarmingly.

So, I'm sharing an indoor evening pic today (hence the poor lighting) - an oil painting that belonged to my friend's father, which she passed to me several years ago when we were clearing his property.  I just love it, although I do fancy changing the frame to something darker and deeper. 

Anyway, the excitement for today was baking Mr A a gluten-free coffee & almond cake (see extra) and opening up the tightly-packed bag of our brand new duvet (woo hoo)...a 7.5 tog jobbie.  I'd never heard of a 7.5 tog one before, but I'm hoping it will be perfect - cool enough for the warmer months and can be boosted with extra quilted comforters or fleece blankets in the cold weather.
