Floods

Just done 2 backblips which will explain how we came to be travelling in storn Ciara.
Left Harrogate at 9am, it was pretty heavy rain, strong wind (but not too bad) and wet roads as far a Newcastle. We then had sun and showers to about Edinburgh, reasonably seltered from the wind but lots of flooded bits on the road. Then some more rain before back to sun but very strong winds the rest of the way home.
At home it was a quick turnaround and then to son's where we are babysitting for a couple of days.
The pic is of a large new "lake" near Otterburn, it continued for miles where varying rivers had burst their banks but no houses seemed to be threatened. Nothing like this 2 days earlier.
Now an early night - shattered.
