Vulcan

We started the day with a mass visit to the local parkrun in memory of our friend who was very involved, mainly in Keswick in recent years.
The service was at midday and around the hall were many mosaics made by a craft group that uses it and I thought this was was quite appropriate as Vulcans were based in the area our friend came from (and his wife was from my village not far away and in my sister's school class) and could not be ignored when we were young, there were family connections with the RAF.
It was a moving, informal service with a fairly small number of people, too many would have been too much for their young daughter. 
Afterwards memory sharing and company of friends, I was moved at how supportive the local friends are being, a real community.
