Rakaia

We met some old fellas in shop several days ago that said the Rakaia was too dirty and no good for fishing .. so we weren't rushing to get out there.

But after yesterdays great trip on the Waimak we said "what the hell". I shot into work again for several hours, then went to the Ellerslie Flower Show (which was WAY too busy) and then home for lunch and picking up Dad to go fishing.

We drove to the southern end of the Rakaia River moth which was great,, We drove part way out and then walked the last 15 minutes, And as soon as we arrived we saw salmon - wohoo! Sadly we didn't catch one, but an awesome afternoon.

More quality time with Dad - really good stuff ;-)
