High Tides in Scalloway

A breezy day, showers this morning, and some sunny spells.  More rain, hail and wintery showers this afternoon, duller, colder and continued tonight. 

Day off work, and up early.  I got out with Sammy this morning, before cracking on with chores.  I had planned a trip out, but no point with the horrid day.  Met mam for lunch, and we had a walk with Sammy too.  Working early in the pub tonight, and then popped by Madeline's for a cuppa.  Feet up by the fire now. 

With the full moon and low pressure, we've had some really high tides lately.  My usual walk with Sammy was cut off at places, like here.  There is a pathway under the building, but as you can see, it's covered by sea.  Thankfully there wasn't serious gales along with it, or there would be flooding problems.  This pier shouldn't have any water on it either.  Taken at the back of the youth centre, Scalloway.
